PROSPECTIVE CLIENT CONSULTATION ACKNOWLEDGMENT

PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THIS

The purpose of this consultation is for the attorney to evaluate your situation. Be advised that although an attorney-client relationship is not established by this consultation, anything you discuss with the attorney is a confidential communication and shielded from disclosure. This is a structured meeting. The attorney will ask specific questions and listen to your story. The attorney will advise you, the prospective client, as to your legal options, potential outcomes, and estimated fees services.

Please understand, the purpose of this meeting is not to render a definitive legal opinion as it may be impossible to fully assess this matter completely with the limited information made available at the time of the consultation. To maximize your time with the attorney, please bring all documents relative to your matter for the consultation and arrive on time.

NOTICE: The standard consultation fee has been waived by the attorney. There is no charge for this consultation

One of 3 OUTCOMES IS POSSIBLE FOLLOWING THIS CONSULTATION:

  1. YOU AND THE ATTORNEY MUTUALLY AGREE TO REPRESENTATION. The terms of this agreement will be memorialized in a separate document called “ATTORNEY RETAINER AGREEMENT”; or
  2. THE ATTORNEY DECLINES REPRESENTATION; or
  3. YOU DECLINE THE SERVICES OF THE ATTORNEY; (NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN BY ATTORNEY)

IF YOU AGREE TO HIRE THE ATTORNEY, you will both sign a Attorney Retainer Agreement.  The Attorney Retainer Agreement will set forth the terms and conditions of representation. You will receive a copy of the agreement.

IF YOU OR THE ATTORNEY DECLINE REPRESENTATION our firm will not be professionally responsible for your legal matter and you are strongly urged to immediately consult with other legal counsel to protect your rights and seek a second opinion. Any declination includes not representing you with regard all other matters you discussed with the attorney during this consultation.  The attorney’s decision not to represent you should not be taken by you as an expression regarding the merits of your case. If your legal problem(s) involve a potential lawsuit, it is important that you understand a lawsuit must be filed within a certain period of time called a Statute of Limitations.

NOTICE: This office does not represent you with regard to the matters set forth  herein in this information sheet or discussed during your consultation UNLESS AND UNTIL, both you and the attorney execute a written Attorney Retainer Agreement.
